About TERRA Songwriting
TERRA is a community for songwriters, built on a simple belief: writers grow best in community with other writers.
Since 2020, we've hosted over 20 retreats, run 30+ songwriting groups, and built a community of writers from across the country. What started as a handful of people gathered around a living room has grown into something we're genuinely proud of — a space where real creative breakthroughs happen, regularly.
TERRA isn't modeled after a masterclass. Everyone brings something, and everyone leaves with more. That philosophy runs through everything we do — retreats, groups, artist support, and beyond.
About Elijah Bisbee
Elijah Bisbee is the founder of TERRA Songwriting — a writer, composer, and retreat host based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Before TERRA, Elijah spent years in Los Angeles working at a start-up record label, managing the relationship between the label and its distributor, Universal Music. He later traveled the world as a facilitator for a growing technology company, where he first discovered his love for hosting and the art of creating space for people. Getting his start as a facilitator for Apple, Elijah learned to appreciate the discipline of asking good questions and sitting patiently with the response.
In the early days of TERRA, Elijah and his wife hosted house shows for the local music community in Cleveland. It was in those rooms — small, informal, full of people showing up for each other — that the seeds of what TERRA would become were planted. The magic, he found, happened in moments of vulnerability and shared experience.
As a musician, Elijah has released music that has been streamed over 2 million times, with editorial playlist support from TIDAL, Apple Music, and Spotify. More than the numbers, his music reflects the same philosophy that drives TERRA — creating space for people to feel something real.
Twenty retreats in, Elijah is still as focused on the work as ever.
