TERRA Songwriting and Cleveland Scoring present: Artist Residencies
Something different is happening in Cleveland.
TERRA has partnered with Cleveland Scoring to offer a first-of-its-kind residency program for composers, producers, and independent artists. Hosted in one of Cleveland's most creative spaces - built around your project, your timeline, and where your work needs to go.
This isn't a class or a workshop. It's dedicated time, real resources, and access to a community of working musicians and collaborators who are genuinely invested in what you're making.
What the residency includes
The three-day program is built around open writing time, with personnel available as your needs arise. Beyond that, residents have access to:
Two days in Studio B at Cleveland Scoring, with full access to the instrument collection — upright piano, ARP 2600, Juno 106, Moog Sub37, Harmonium, guitars, basses, multiple drum kits, and more. An engineer is included for both sessions.
One session in Studio A, typically on the final day and often involving live musicians. This is where the residency tends to culminate.
Four contracted Cleveland Scoring musicians available at your discretion throughout the program.
An invitation to attend an open electro-acoustic improvisatory session with local musicians — a chance to hear and connect with Cleveland's creative community.
A video package documenting your sessions — four-camera shoots during studio time, b-roll throughout, with all audio and video assets shared between you and Cleveland Scoring.
A Q&A session with Cleveland Scoring staff and collaborators.
Available additions
Depending on your project, the residency can also include Kontakt instrument creation, additional video editing, a public performance, and album release support from recorded materials.
Who this is for
The residency is designed for composers, producers, and artists who are at the beginning of a project, returning to something that needs fresh momentum, or looking for a concentrated period of creative work with real infrastructure behind it. Residents are selected through an application process. Group size is intentionally small.
The pilot residency runs in June 2026.
